From owners to concerned citizens, anyone can help a horse retire to Pastured Place.
Whether a horse raced two years ago, twenty years ago, or never, if a Jockey Club registered Thoroughbred needs us, we want to know. We maintain a watchlist and welcome submissions from the public. Here are some examples of horses that qualify for inclusion on our watchlist:
We consider many variables before admitting a horse on the watchlist, not least of which is whether the horse is adoptable or in need of lifetime care. Additionally, space and resources are always limited, and we must always be available to accept the return of an adopted horse.
*Submitting a horse to our watchlist does not represent or guarantee admittance. Horses are categorized by risk level and admitted on a case by case basis. We appreciate your patience as we make every effort to accommodate as many horses as possible.*
Is your horse near the end of its racing days? Do you think Pastured Place might be a good fit?
We invite connections to consider us when the time comes to retire their horses.
Policies for connection submissions are the same as those for the general public.
Your horse will be categorized by risk level and placed on our watchlist.
*Upon admittance, transportation to our location is the responsibility of the connections.*
