Submit A Horse

We maintain a watchlist as opposed to a waitlist because we cannot guarantee when we will have the space and resources necessary to take on a new horse. We continually operate at or near maximum capacity.

When you successfully submit a horse to Pastured Place, you are simply putting the horse on our radar. This ensures that he or she will be among those considered when space becomes available, but it does not guarantee placement with us.

Your submission form will be delivered to our inbox, and you will receive an email from us that will confirm whether your submission has been approved.  You will receive no further communication from us unless and until we have selected your horse for admittance. 

Your horse will be placed on our watchlist and categorized as "adoptable" or "sanctuary." When space becomes available, we assess our list and select horses that best fill the vacancies we have. We always prioritize horses at the highest risk in their respective categories when making our selection.

If you are the owner of the horse you are submitting, we urge you to pursue and apply to other aftercare organizations after your submission has been approved. We can make no guarantees or estimates as to how long it will be before your horse is accepted. 

Upon admittance, transporting the horse to our location is the responsibility of the owner.
